- Thrice - Vheissu
- Thursday - War all the Time
- Underoath - They’re only chasing safety
- Demon Hunter - The Triptych
- Death Cab for Cutie - Plans, Photo Album, Transatlantic
I actually went and saw Thrice at the Beaumont Club the other night. I can not explain how cool of a concert they put on. The lighting was amzing and they had complete control over the crowd - even though they had a lot of technical difficulties.
I’m flying to Memphis tomorrow to discuss outsourcing some web design. I’ll be actually arriving in Murray earlier than expected on Friday, since they are sending me directly from Memphis to Nashvegas! I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone. Dut, Chris, and all my ASP fraternity brothers! What about Bradley Simmons and Tyler Leet, are you going to be at Tent City? I know you read this site! Starkie? Youre going to be there - right?
I’m pretty pumped - I havent seen my mom, stepdad, or brother in like 4 or 5 weeks!

What am I doing up? Well, remember how I told you I was going to that concert?
I was asked to go with Andrea to see Smile Empty Soul, Cold, and Crossfade at the Beaumont Club. Andrea is the 23 year old, cute, blonde chick that I hang out with from church. She had two other friends, Steve and Amber, meeting us there.
It started at 7pm, and was a typical concert. The venue was an amazing place and I would highly suggest seeing any artist you like there. All and all, I had a great time at the show. I even gave scott Randolph a call during the “Do it for the drugs” song by Smile Empty Soul…
The real amazing part happens later — Amber, who has told Steve goodnight because he has to work in the morning, wanted to go out with us. Of course, not really knowing very many people up here and having yet to check out the ‘Town’- I said sure. Amber is *very* good at manipulating people to get what she wants…
To say the least, by the end of the night, we had been partying with all three bands and hanging out on the tour buses. I spent some time talking with the lead singer of SES about how his record label has screwed them and they are promoting people pirating the new CD on the Internet. The coolest guy was Mitch, the bass player for Crossfade. He told us all about growing up in South Carolina and his two daughters. Very nice guy and he really cares for his girlfriend that lives in like, Iowa. He let us hang out in the lounge of the tour bus and we got to see how the “rockstar” lifestyle really is like …
I’ll be honest, I don’t think I could handle it. Drugs, sex, and liquor is an understatement.
I would like to point out that I had nothing to do with getting on the buses and hanging out with the bands! The advantage of going out with two very attractive and well-endowed females became very prevelant tonight! haha. Write that down guys …
All of the band members were very friendly but it was obvious when it was time to leave. Eddie, the lead-singer of Crossfade, was very cool and non offensively hinted that maybe we should go as about six to seven of the _hottest_ girls I have ever seen stepped on to the bus. We met Cory (sp?) the wild-haired guitar player for Cold, the drummer for Smile Empty Soul, and the Bass player for Smile Empty Soul (but, alas, their names escape me)…
Overall, it was a very educating night. I realized quite abit about myself by looking at the lives of others. I think being on the road would definately be lonely! Most of all, rockstars are pretty much just normal people with very demanding jobs.
Anyways, I’m going to bed. I have to be up in like 4 hours. hahah.
