XBOX 360 Witchhunt
December 14th, 2005
I decided to run to walmart tonight to get some Epsom Salt and triple-antibiotic ointment for my spider bite. While walking around walmart I hear an employee talking about the XBOX 360’s being stocked in stores all over KC. Evidently there was going to be a shipment of 4 to 6 boxes per store.
So armed with a trusty credit card with a high limit, a stearn look on my face, and some gas in the passat — I set out to buy a few Xboxs!
First stop: 151 and metcalfe! To no eval! They sold out as soon as they pulled them off the truck.
Second Stop: 135 / StateLine! Another girl is waiting. They say “We’ve got four left!” I was super stoked! They said I could buy two — so we waited for them to come back with our boxes. No, sorry, magically they have disappeared off our inventory! WTF? Seems that even though they had six - sold two, and then had four left for the girl and I — they had mysteriously sold “our” four… Yeah right. The manager was a twenty something year old punk who obviously was lying.
Never the less, I had to the third stop… a more dangerous area walmart …
Banister Mall!
Imagine, if you will, a Walmart located on the far corner of the set. This, my friends, is the banister mall area. It’s 12:31am. No respectable human being has been in this area in over four hours…
Sure enough, that walmart closes at midnight! Doh! I am going to try and get up early and make it in time to try and buy two in the morning.
Finally, I stop at 119 and Metcalfe - A desperation move - since I know that only the most elite shop at this Walmart - None. They sold out at 10.
Moral of the story - Five Walmarts in the whole - You can try and try, but you’ll have to pay 1000 bucks on Ebay for an XBOX 360.

Dude, you do not ever go to the Bannister Mall area even in the daytime. What are you thinking. There is a WalMart at 75th and I-35 and another one at Shawnee Mission Pkwy and Lackman Road. You should try to hit every single WalMart in town.

Or you can just be like us and get one for free from Shanes dad winning it at his autoauction that is rigged so he gets good prizes every time and then come home from a show and it be in the car with a note saying I dont know what the hell this thing is but I figured you boys would want it more than me. Actually it was just an X-box but hell it was free. But good luck on your hunt for the 360.

Dusty Vinson is a asst manager at the Wal-Mart in Bardstown. And he is married to my cousin. That might work.
