CSS Thief

I just want to make a public statement - I didn’t write the CSS for my front page, I “borrowed” it and have not changed it yet. By borrowing I mean stealing. Public apology to the developer - you know who you are. It will be my own creative css layout soon.

Bofe, do you remember when we were going over Modrewrite - do you have any better tutorials? I am trying to help a friend and I can’t remember what resources we were using…

Thursday, yet seems like Friday.

Today so seems like Friday - everyone in my office is in a good mood and high spirited. Some of them are even wearing blue jeans, I dont understand - I must have missed the memo! One of the girls in the office just had her last radiation treatment, so I believe that is the reason for celebration.

I brought in two dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts for the employees. I plan on staying away from them. I weighed this morning. 183.4 lbs. This is a new low for me, like, ever.

I’m eating healthy and running every day. I ran a mile in 10:11 last night, which is a vast improvement over the 11 minute mile on Monday. I am not eating crap either. All I have had is food that promotes healthy energy sources: lots of grains, peanut butter, and proteins.

While i’m not ready to run any type of triathlon, I am seeing this as something I will continue to do for a while and hopefully will continue to see some benefit in it!

Site Updates and Misc

I’m going to church tonight, but after that I am planning on installing galleryv2.0 and uploading some pictures. I’ve got some good ones that everyone needs to see (apartment pics, new furniture pictures, pics of me, etc).

I forgot to post my workout from last night, so I’m going to now:

  • 1 mile lap around neighborhood on bike (started raining)
  • 30 minutes on stationary bike on random hill mode with level set on 10 (heavy sweating)

Wow, that doesn’t sound like much - I was wore out from it though.

“Burn an X in your head, Burn an X in your head…”

Sorry… I am listening to White Zombie, Real Solution #9. I couldn’t contain myself, that song is so wierd.

A girl from church and I are going to see Crossfade, Smile Empty Soul, and Cold at the Beaumont Club next Thursday - Sept. 22nd. Expect an extensive concert review. I’ve seen Smile Empty Soul at some random Buzzfest from year’s past and best I remember they sucked - very “angst parents” sounding but I have their CDs and they are not that bad…

TriathlonTraining.net - Donate!

If you are a friend of mine, then you are a friend of these folks…

Donate to TriathlonTraining.net

They have their first Triathlon this upcoming weekend and all donations are going to be used for all kinds of things - check the site for details. My prayers and thoughts will be with you guys as you go through that hell-a-cious course. hah. I will be in Universal Studios, chillin’ on the Jaws ride but you’ll be on my mind!

Seriously, donate some money — this is like “Last Call” for them and they need as much support as they can get.

I stink …

I stink in more ways then one…

I just completed my first workout in a _long_ time.

It was obvious too - I was barely able to run a mile in under 11 minutes. I know all of you guys that have been training for this triatholon will laugh at that number. I ran 1.0 miles in 10:54. Pathetic. Sweat was dripping everywhere. Thank God for the Apple Ipod. Otep + Chimaira + Slipknot + working out is like feeling hell surround you.

For my own personal goal tracking, tonight I completed:

  • 1 Mile run - 10:54
  • 4x sets of curls
  • 4x set of shoulder press
  • 50 sit-ups

Why am I doing this right now? I dont want to ever be referred to as “Pudgy” or “Fat”. Not that I feel like I am - or that anyone really means it when they say it — but I want that to be the most distant thought in their minds…

When I got really into working out a year or two ago, I remember thinking of food as an energy source (as corny as this sounds - like an energon cube from The Transformers © cartoon. Tomorrow I am going to begin intaking only healthy energy sources instead of food sucks the life out of you. I am kicking McDonald’s, Burger King, and my new favorite, Little Ceasars to the curb! No more snicker bars, candy corn, or Pop Tarts either.

I’m taking pictures but will not show them until I have some improvement to compare them too… Until then, lets look at some old pics of me just for the heck of it…

Sorry the old pictures suck in quality, but they are purely examples …

Where are you, Craig Clayton?

Age

I’m 25 years old. I don’t “party” anymore. I don’t really do anything I did two years ago. It’s so weird. My life has evolved and I am absolutely cool with it!

Location

I’m living in Kansas now. Kansas?!?! - yes, Overland Park, Kansas. It’s just southwest of Kansas City, Missouri. I love the weather here. I love how clean and well manicured things are - it is a sweet place to live. Tons of things to do and see, great malls, Little Ceasar’s Pizza, … just awesome.

Career / Job

Without getting into anything real detailed, I’m handling a series of massive “do or die” IT projects. I can’t explain to you what a relief it is to be in control of something and be developing it from the ground up. Everything I do directly effects hundreds of employees and consumers. It is so much more fulfilling then my previous position - I was not designed to write reports!

Schooling

This might be a suprise to some of you but I am applying to the Kansas University Graduate Program to get an MBA. I bought my GMAT study guide tonight! I’ll be scheduling this in the next few days and am in need of some advice from anyone that has taken it! I am hoping that I can take night classes (maybe 6 hours the first semester starting in January).

Lovelife

I’m young, healthy, and doing well. It’s going pretty good. Without details, I care about someone a lot….

Music

I’ve been listening to a lot of Country and alternative rock lately. Not as much heavy stuff - more like Death Cab for Cutie, Ben Folds, and 311. I’ve been doing quite abit of mid-90’s rock as well (Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, Tripping Daisy, Silverchair, and Rage against the Machine). I bought a 20gb Ipod Photo and it rocks. You should definitely buy one!

Christianity

I’ve been filled with a spirit of hope. I dont want to worry about things in my life, I know that if God takes care of the birds and rodents - how much more important am i? I don’t mind wearing my faith on my sleeve.

Hurricane Katrina: Political Ranting and Raving

I love how blogs have become the new place to dump your idea’s, but let’s face it - some of the things coming out of people’s fingertips is absolutely ridicilious. (obviously misspelled)

I can’t even comprehend what has happened in New Orleans. I have a buddy, Heath Bittel, that lives there with his wife. Heath is probably one of the more charitable people I know. We used to do all kinds of things to help people in Murray when we were roommates (move in day, etc)….

I am concerned for him - why? He lives about an hour from New Orleans. They are evacuating these “crazed” people from the city to areas near his home. When I say “crazed” i mean it justly. Trust me, you take away every material thing I have or that I want, starve me for three to four days, and lets see how sane I appear!

Never the less, Heath is trying to help these people as an emergency coordinator for his company and as member of a Church.

There are people right now trying to blame this on everything. Let’s blame God, let’s blame Jesus, let’s blame the president, let’s blame FEMA, let’s blame the blue states, let’s blame the red states, let’s blame ourselves….

The truth? We live in a world where nothing is guarenteed(spelling, again?). You might _feel_ in control, but in reality, at any moment, it could be taken away from you. These poor people in New Orleans are victims. We should do everything in our power to help them. We should be understanding of their state of mind - Seriously, everything they have probably lived for is gone!

I encourage you to be like Heath Bittel - Give all you can give to help. Be positive, stop blaming God, and the president, and FEMA, and our troops, and the police. PRAY for these people. Money and Aid will come through PRAYER. I’ll be honest, tonight at 9pm was the first time i’ve watched any real “coverage” of what is happening. Why? I guess I am scared of what it would reveal to me - and now that I’ve seen it, I know what I was scared of ….

I hope this makes some sort of sense.
