Fall is upon us …

Fall is upon us.

I woke up this morning - freezing! This means it is time to put away the summer clothes and pull out my fall & winter attire! For those of you that know, I’ve had a rough few weeks. A lot of the things have happened and I still feel the sting quite a bit. Yesterday, I was feeling pretty down for some reason - so, like a chick, I decided to go shopping.

A quick trip to the Buckle and I was feeling quite a bit better - and very pimp! Couple that with a great service at church later in the evening - and things were looking up.

In attempts to continue to be successful, I am working with my good buddies Bofe and Randolph on a new web project. It`s a sound concept and has extensive potential. We had our first meeting concerning the project last night and it went really well. Its going to be PHP / mysql based (suprise) - more details to follow…

*update: Goatee is filling out nicely.

In other news - remember how I became addicted to Friends and I now have all of the seasons on DVD? Yeah, I’m addicted to the O.C. — I _was_ Seth Cohen in High School. If you want to re-live your teenage years, the first season DVD set would be a great place to start.

Transformation: Day 3

As I’ve previously posted - I am bored with the way I look! I am ready to try and be a little bit more trendy looking. Nothing too wild - but here is what we did -

Obviously, I have strawberry blond red tinted hair. I have no facial hair anymore. I have “red” sideburns. This is a pretty typical look for me.

Here is the before picture:
Craig Clayton - Before the Transformation
Craig Clayton - Before

I decided after seeing this “cool” picture of Brad Pitt that I would darken my hair, grow some scrub facial hair, and develop a goatee. Here is the inspiration (though I cant say I look like him - haha).

Here is the desired look:

I discarded my sideburns (which hurt - I’ve had them for SooOooOo long). I am letting the hair get long and much fuller. I have let some goatee facial hair develop - its not too crazy looking. I bought some DARK brown hair coloring, applied it - and now I have this look. Cutier? Not sure - but I do know that I look much more hardcore. hah. The first pic is unstyled hair - btw - since Pat flipped out and said my hair looks retarded.

Here is the final product (though goatee is not full):

The Guardians Classic Tournament

If you know me - you know I worship UK Basketball.

That being said, I have a two day pass to the Guardians Classic Tournament featuring Texas, West Virginia, Iowa, and the University of Kentucky Wildcats. What row? G. Yes, like, A B C D E F G - seven rows off the floor!

It’s getting close to that time of the year again! Wooh hoo.

2:27am - Too early to write but …

I wrote a big post right here - in this very space. You know what? It was mildy stupid, so I just deleted it and I am replacing it with this text right here.

I am going to bed. It’s way too late for an old man like me :)

The fashion conversion is coming along nicely. You shouldn’t even be able to recognize me in a few days! hahaha.

3am, again…

How wierd, two nights in a row. I just got in, I’m wore out, this staying up late crap is for the birds. I just wanted to tell everyone that I’ll be updating the site tommorrow morning / early afternoon - so expect some things to not be working! I’ll try to limit the downtime - alright?!?

Just some links for tommorrow:

I am in need of some spiritual guidance, so I am asking that you keep me in your prayers.

Finally, I am ….. Zzzz, nevermind, this is stupid, I’m going to bed!

It’s 3am on a friday morning.

What am I doing up? Well, remember how I told you I was going to that concert?

I was asked to go with Andrea to see Smile Empty Soul, Cold, and Crossfade at the Beaumont Club. Andrea is the 23 year old, cute, blonde chick that I hang out with from church. She had two other friends, Steve and Amber, meeting us there.

It started at 7pm, and was a typical concert. The venue was an amazing place and I would highly suggest seeing any artist you like there. All and all, I had a great time at the show. I even gave scott Randolph a call during the “Do it for the drugs” song by Smile Empty Soul…

The real amazing part happens later — Amber, who has told Steve goodnight because he has to work in the morning, wanted to go out with us. Of course, not really knowing very many people up here and having yet to check out the ‘Town’- I said sure. Amber is *very* good at manipulating people to get what she wants…

To say the least, by the end of the night, we had been partying with all three bands and hanging out on the tour buses. I spent some time talking with the lead singer of SES about how his record label has screwed them and they are promoting people pirating the new CD on the Internet. The coolest guy was Mitch, the bass player for Crossfade. He told us all about growing up in South Carolina and his two daughters. Very nice guy and he really cares for his girlfriend that lives in like, Iowa. He let us hang out in the lounge of the tour bus and we got to see how the “rockstar” lifestyle really is like …

I’ll be honest, I don’t think I could handle it. Drugs, sex, and liquor is an understatement.

I would like to point out that I had nothing to do with getting on the buses and hanging out with the bands! The advantage of going out with two very attractive and well-endowed females became very prevelant tonight! haha. Write that down guys …

All of the band members were very friendly but it was obvious when it was time to leave. Eddie, the lead-singer of Crossfade, was very cool and non offensively hinted that maybe we should go as about six to seven of the _hottest_ girls I have ever seen stepped on to the bus. We met Cory (sp?) the wild-haired guitar player for Cold, the drummer for Smile Empty Soul, and the Bass player for Smile Empty Soul (but, alas, their names escape me)…

Overall, it was a very educating night. I realized quite abit about myself by looking at the lives of others. I think being on the road would definately be lonely! Most of all, rockstars are pretty much just normal people with very demanding jobs.

Anyways, I’m going to bed. I have to be up in like 4 hours. hahah.

New look for Mr. Clayton

With all of the recent drama in my life, I’ve decided it is time for a change. I’ll post a before / after picture when the transformation is complete. Keep in mind, this change will be work safe - so no Mohawk’s like our buddy, Mr. Randolph.

Why are you doing this? Bah. I’m just bored with myself- i’m looking old and less exciting. Why not, ey?

Until then, here is an intense surf picture from my recent trip to Orlando.

Weekend Web Design Challenge

Since I am going to be staying in Overland Park this weekend, I am issuing a challenge to the Bofester. I bet by Monday morning (12am) next week that my site will look much cooler than his…

This is merely a friendly challenge. He has been developing layouts all week for his site! This is merely forcing him and I to pull up our big-boy pants and finish the job.

Code should be w3c compliant. Use of Ajax should be required as well… Judge on “user friendliness, look, appeal, css layout, functionality, etc … not really content of the site” …

What do you think, kiddo?

Bloodhound Gang - Hefty Fine

I have been laughing so hard. I just heard the new Bloodhound Gang cd. Yes, Casey Naber, The Bloodhound Gang. This cd rocks so hard! It is disturbingly disgusting.

Classic. It’s like my sophomore year of college over again!
